[March 14, 2016]  March 13 (The Sports Xchange) - Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant, facing a one-year suspension for repeat violations of the NFL's substance abuse policy, is reportedly fighting depression and plans to enter rehab for evaluation.

One of his agents, Brian Fettner, confirmed the ban stems from multiple missed drug tests.

The 6-foot-4, 211-pound Bryant was suspended for four games last year for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.

Bryant, a 2014 fourth-round draft pick from Clemson, caught 50 passes for 765 yards and six touchdowns in 11 games last season.

Bryant is due $600,000 in 2016 salary, the third year of a four-year rookie contract.

The Denver Broncos are interested in signing free agent quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, but only if they can get him at the right price.

According to an ESPN report, Denver is unwilling to pay the salary Fitzpatrick is seeking as the Broncos search for their next starting quarterback following the retirement of Peyton Manning and Brock Osweiler's decision to sign with the Houston Texans last week.

On Friday, the Broncos acquired veteran quarterback Mark Sanchez from the Philadelphia Eagles, who will receive a conditional late-round pick in the 2017 draft.

Fitzpatrick, 33, threw for 3,905 yards with 31 touchdowns and 15 interceptions in 2015, his first season with the New York Jets. The Jets have been in a stalemate to bring back Fitzpatrick.

Trevor Siemian is the other quarterback currently on the Broncos' roster.

The Los Angeles Rams re-signed defensive end Eugene Sims to a three-year contract.

The deal is worth a reported $10 million and includes $3.75 million in guarantees.

Sims, who joined the Rams as a sixth-round pick in the 2010 draft, appeared in 13 games last year, starting nine.

Free agent wide receiver Mike Wallace is scheduled to visit with the Baltimore Ravens on Monday.

A deal is contingent on Wallace accepting a "low budget" contract, according to Don Banks of Sports Illustrated.

Wallace, 29, was released by the Minnesota Vikings last week. He tied or set career lows in catches (39), receiving yards (473) and touchdowns (two) last season.

Former Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott was arrested early Saturday morning and charged with driving under the influence, according to the Starkville (Miss.) Police Department.

He had worked out for scouts from 30 NFL teams just two days earlier.

The 6-foot-2, 226-pound Louisiana native finished last season at Mississippi State with 3,793 passing yards, 29 touchdowns and five interceptions.

Prescott also worked out last month at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, hoping to impress scouts who project him as a second-to-fourth-round pick in the NFL Draft set for late April in Chicago.

NFLDraftScout.com rankes Prescott as the No. 6 quarterback in the 2016 class. (Editing by Andrew Both)
