[March 18, 2016]   LINCOLN - The Logan County Genealogical and Historical Society is pleased to announce this month's speaker, Mr. Tom Peifer, of rural Lincoln. He will be speaking concerning his Centennial Farm.

The Centennial Farms program honors generations of farmers who have worked to maintain family farms in Illinois. To qualify for a Centennial Farm status, an agricultural property must have been owned by the same family of lineal or collateral descendants for at least 100 years.

Mr. Peifer's farm has been in his family for nearly 150 years, and he will qualify for the Sesquicentennial Farm program. We look forward to Tom's program.

The meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 21st st the Society Center on Chicago Street. Members are encouraged to attend, and guests are always welcome.
