[March 17, 2016]  NEW CASTLE, DE - Allen Knollenberg, 57, of New Castle, DE, formerly of Lincoln, died on March 11, 2016 at Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE.

Visitation: Wednesday, March 16 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.

Service: Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Lincoln

Obituary

Allen Knollenberg, 57, of New Castle, DE, formerly of Lincoln, died on March 11, 2016 at Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE.

Allen was born March 8, 1959 in Lincoln, the son of Norman F. and Gwendolyn Rhodes Knollenberg. He married Cathleen McFadden and she survives in New Castle, DE.
Also surviving Allen is his daughter: Kimberly (Patrick) Griffin and Grandson: Wesley Abram Griffin. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Allen enjoyed photography, carpentry, had an eclectic love for music, was a huge NASCAR fan, and was active in his Community Association, acting as treasurer for seven years.

 

Having degrees in both Micro technology and Business Administration, Allen worked at Honeywell from 1985-1997. He then went to work for several security-related industries until he started American Eagle Business Services in 2006. He maintained a large tax and bookkeeping clientele.

Services for Allen will be Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Lincoln with Rev. Candida Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery, Lincoln. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 16 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln. Memorials may be given in his name to The Marfan Foundation: www.marfan.org or to the family c/o Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home.
