[May 03, 2016]  MASON CITY - Mason City Area Nursing Home (MCANH) has unveiled a new logo to replace the graphics that have represented their company since 1989. The facility opened its doors to seniors after the community spent nearly five years raising the funds needed to provide a nursing home to seniors in Mason, Tazewell and the surrounding counties.

Today, after more than 25 years of business, the healthcare needs of seniors have changed, and MCANH has evolved along with the wants and needs of the senior population. The new logo more accurately represents the variety of services MCANH provides: aggressive short-term therapy services, outpatient therapy, an assisted lifestyle community and skilled nursing care.

While the logo has changed, maintaining the core heritage of the previous look was important. The silhouette of the building is carried forward in the new graphics – an homage to the first logo and the distinctive architectural properties of the MCANH building.

The facility also recently completed a large-scale renovation to multiple parts of the building. Resident rooms now have more space; the Skilled Care unit and Assisted Lifestyle (Sheltered Care) community have also been renovated, and multiple areas now boast new furniture, flooring and art.

A Community Open House is scheduled for June 8th to provide tours and information on the exciting changes at MCANH. More details will be released closer to the date.
