[May 06, 2016]  LINCOLN - Myron Buse, 77, passed away at 12:03 p.m. on April 26, 2016 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln, IL with his brother by his side.

Visitation:  From 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday May 1, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln

Service: 10:00 a.m. Monday May 2, at the funeral home.

Obituary

Myron Buse, 77, passed away at 12:03 p.m. on April 26, 2016 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln, IL with his brother by his side.

Myron was born on October 13, 1938 in Lincoln, son of Harold and Norma Blaum Buse.

Surviving Myron is his son Robert L. (Lisa Leasher) Buse of Panama City, FL; one brother: Randy (Donna) Buse of Lincoln, two granddaughters: Echo Buse and Delana Buse; three great grandchildren: Madison, Ronnie, and Mariah Mote; two nieces: Donalene (Jim) DeWitt and Rhonda Buse, two great nephews: Riley DeWitt and Sutton Buse. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Darnell and a special uncle; A.B. Blaum.

Myron worked at Lehn & Fink, Stark and Wetzel, Row Motors for 29 years, and as maintenance at Lincoln College where he worked until the day he got sick and had to give it up. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lincoln Eagle’s Lodge, Chestnut Men’s Club, and Beason Sportsman’s Club.

Myron enjoyed collecting Marx toy trains and has a large collection, NASCAR fan, he was a great Rock N Roll fan, ask him the name of a song and he would tell you the group and all the words to the song, and he loved his 1967 red Chevy. Myron was known by many as he never met a stranger. Many knew him by “Myron on his bicycle.” He rode that bike everywhere for 20 years, and was proud of it. He will be dearly missed by not only his family but by everyone that knew him. He truly loved his grandchildren, nieces and great nephews.

Services for Myron will be 10:00 a.m. Monday May 2, 2016 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Henderson officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday May 1, 2016 also at the funeral home in Lincoln. Memorials may be made to Lincoln College or The Christian Village, where he enjoyed his stay. Thanks to all at The Christian Village for their care. Burial will be at Richmond Grove Cemetery in New Holland at a later date.
