Midwest Central teacher Rhonda Fisher receives Outstanding Achievement Award in Sports from the YWCA

[May 12, 2016]  GREEN VALLEY - On Thursday, May 5th, Mrs. Rhonda Fisher was the recipient of the Outstanding Achievement Award in Sports from the YWCA.

Receiving nomination letters from the community, administration, fellow coaches, students, and parents, Mrs. Fisher was chosen from a panel of judges for making a distinctive contribution and her dedication and influence in the field of sports.

Mrs. Fisher has been a part of the Midwest Central CUSD 191 teaching staff for the past 22 most recently at the Middle School serving as the 7th grade language arts teacher. During her career at Midwest Central, Mrs. Fisher has dedicated herself to the students and athletes of the District serving as coach of MS track, MS volleyball, MS girls’ basketball, in addition to serving as MS Beta Club sponsor.

Mrs. Fisher serves as a role model for students and athletes both on and off the court. Her passion for providing a supportive learning environment has helped developed relationships that go well beyond the Middle School walls.
