[May 19, 2016]  May 18 (The Sports Xchange) - Sam Dyson is replacing Shawn Tolleson as the closer for the Texas Rangers, manager Jeff Banister announced before Wednesday's game against the Oakland Athletics.

Tolleson shared the American League lead in saves with 11 with Oakland's Ryan Madson and Seattle's Cishek but blew a save opportunity for the fourth time on Tuesday night, giving up Khris Davis' grand slam with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning.

In Tolleson's last two outings, he has two blown saves, adding to his recent struggles. He has converted only two saves in his last five chances.

Dyson is no stranger to closing games, having saved two of the Rangers' last three wins. He is tied for second in the AL with 10 saves this year and has a 1.43 ERA since coming over from the Miami Marlins last year.
