Extension offering self-defense club for youth

[May 19, 2016]  LINCOLN - University of Illinois Extension/Unit 16 and Logan County 4-H will be holding a 4-H Self-defense Club in June for youth ages 8-18 years.

The club will take place at Williamsville Karate, 101 ˝ West Main St., Williamsville, IL on Fridays, June 3, 10, 17, and 24th from 6 – 7:30 pm. There is no charge for current 4-H members to register for the club. Those “new to 4-H” will pay a $20 program fee.

Youth will master techniques through Japanese martial arts and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu to learn personal safety, increased self-confidence, and improved awareness and reflexes in the Self Defense Club! Youth are asked to wear comfortable workout clothes.

Postville Dr., Lincoln, IL (NW corner of Logan County Fairgrounds) to register if interested. Registration deadline is May 31st.
