American legion announces Memorial Day activities
Volunteers needed for flag placing May 25th

[May 19, 2016]  LINCOLN - The Lincoln American Legion Post 263 will honor our fallen Veteran's with a Memorial day service on Monday May 30th at 10:30 a.m. at the Legion Hall at 1740 Fifth Street.

The services, weather permitting will be held outside.  If rain persists, then the service will be held in the Legion Ballroom.

Immediately following there will be the tradition Ham and Bean lunch.  Donations will be accepted to help offset the cost of the meal.

The public is welcome and encouraged to attend in honor of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Flag Placement

On Wednesday, May 25th, volunteers are being sought to help place American flags on the gaves of local soldiers.  This event is open to anyone who is available to do as much as they wish until all the work is done.  Anyone wishing to participate is asked to meet at the Legion Lounge at 9:00 a.m.
