[May 22, 2016]   LINCOLN - Logan Lanes of Lincoln joined in the community effort to support the Funding project for NARCAN Kits led by St. John United Church of Christ.

During the fundraiser Sunday, May 15, a Certificate of Appreciation for his support was presented to Shawn Taylor by the pastor of St. John United Church of Christ, Ken Kramer and Edna Mara, president of the church. During the evening over $302. was raised by the bake sale and 50/50 drawing with more to be realized from 50% of the revenue of the bowling. All proceeds will be directed to Emily Hauter at the Logan County Health Department who is co-ordinator of the program and will be in charge of obtaining the kits for First Responders of Logan County.

Since April 1st all donations of acceptable seasonal clothing and furniture in good condition given to the NARCAN Project at the ReNew, Consignment & Thrift business at 210 S. Sangamon Street, Lincoln has been earning 60 percent of their value for this project from the ReNew, Consignment & Thrift business through June 30. Anyone is welcome to support this community project with donations or purchases. Donations will only be accepted through May 31st and should be designated to the NARCAN project when delivered. Unfortunately the need for these kits are extreme so hopes to equip all first responders through the Logan Co. Health Department with these life-saving kits is the goal.
