Mass and Celebration of Life: 12:30 p.m. Sunday, May 29th at Brookdale

Obituary

OLYMPIA FIELDS - John W. Robinson, 81, passed away April 22, 2016 at his residence at Brookdale Senior Living in Olympia Fields.

There will be a mass followed by a celebration of John's life on Sunday, May 29th at Brookdale, 3633 Breakers Drive, Olympia Fields. Mass will start at 12:30pm. There will be pie and coffee served during the celebration.

John was born on December 1, 1934, the son of Roy and Madeline Robinson. John married Linda Lou (Lohrenz) on May 6, 1961.

John was a Koren War veteran. He graduated from Lincoln College and received his Bachelor degree from the University of Illinois.

John worked as a State of Illinois employee for the Department of Employment Security as an unemployment referee for thirty years. He retired in 1991.

Surviving John are his son Michael (Cynthia) of Frankfort, and his daughter Cynthia Robinson-Seefeldt (Jeff) of Highlands Ranch, CO. Four grandchildren, Justin Robinson(Leoconie), Nicole Schaefer (Brett), Ryan and Sarah Oro. Four great-grandchildren, Abigail and Emma Schaefer, Layla and Hunter Robinson. Numerous nieces and nephews.

John was proceeded in death by his wife Linda (Lohrenz), parents Roy and Madeline Robinson, brother Francis Robinson and sister Patricia Robinson.

John spent the last nine months of his life living at Brookdale in Olympia Fields, where he became a popular resident and made many friends. He spent his last few months visiting and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. John truly led a full and complete life.
