[October 31, 2016]   LINCOLN - LINCOLN - To round out their exhibit season, Logan County Arts members will hold their annual Holiday Show and Shop event at the Lincoln Art Institute Gallery at 112 S. McLean St, Lincoln. The show will open with a reception from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2016.

For this event, the artists will present a wide variety of items suitable as gifts, including original artwork and photography with local themes, portraits of sports heroes and Hollywood icons, interior décor, calendars, greeting cards, and holiday decorations.

As gallerist Moses Pinkerton noted, “This is not the usual made-in-China stuff you see in the malls or hobby stores. These are original, unique items that will appeal to the thoughtful gift-giver.” LCA member Pam Moriearty added, “The goal is to provide items for all ages in an accessible price range. And we’ve been distributing coupons for a 10 percent discount, so don’t forget to bring those along when you visit the gallery.”

Artists Sheralyn Bolton, Jen Grimaldi, Jason Hoffman, Kira Jackson, Bev Noble, Nancy Saul, Tony Shuff, and Rob Swofford will also have works for purchase.

The Gallery will be open on Saturdays during this period, for shoppers participating in the contest. Otherwise, the “OPEN” flag in front of the Institute will show when to visit the gallery, or for an appointment, people may call Pinkerton at 217-651-8355.
