Lincoln VAC to offer veteran
counseling services

LINCOLN
- The Logan County Veterans Assistance Commission is pleased to
announce that Peoria Vet Center counselors will begin offering their
outreach services to Logan County veterans and their families
beginning Wednesday, November 9th from 1:00 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the
local VAC office in the Logan County Courthouse.

The Vet Center program is for readjustment counseling, offering a
wide range of psycho-social services to eligible veterans and family
members. Some of the services that are provided free of charge are
individual, family and group counseling, bereavement counseling,
Military sexual trauma counseling and referral, substance abuse
assessment and referral, employment assessment and referral and
screening and referral for issues such as TBI, PTSD and depression.
If you or a family member served in a combat zone and received a
military campaign ribbon then both you and your family members are
eligible for this free service.
