[November 05, 2016]    Nov 4 (The Sports Xchange) - The Winnipeg Jets placed defenseman Tyler Myers on injured reserve Friday with a lower-body injury.

 

The move is retroactive to Oct. 28. Myers has missed the last three games.

Myers, 26, has two goals with six penalty minutes through his first eight games. Last season with the Jets, he recorded 27 points (nine goals, 18 assists) and 72 penalty minutes in 73 games.

The Jets also recalled forward Nic Petan from the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League.

Petan, 21, has played nine games for Manitoba this season, registering four goals, one assist and four penalty minutes.

The Buffalo Sabres recalled forward William Carrier from the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League on Friday.

The 6-foot-2, 212-pound Carrier, 21, joins the Sabres for his first career recall after posting three goals and an assist in seven games with Rochester this season.

The LaSalle, Quebec native, was acquired by Buffalo from the St. Louis Blues in February 2014.

In a corresponding move, the Sabres assigned forward Justin Bailey to Rochester. He skated in two games for the Sabres, averaging 7:44 of ice time.

The St. Louis Blues assigned defenseman Brad Hunt to the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League on Friday.

The Blues scratched Hunt for Thursday night's game against the Dallas Stars after he was recalled in the morning. (Editing by Andrew Both)
