NHL roundup: Panarin scores in OT to lift Blackhawks

 ST. LOUIS -- Artemi Panarin scored 25 seconds into overtime to give the Chicago Blackhawks a 2-1 win over the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday night, extending their winning streak to seven games.

 

Marian Hossa scored just 1:22 into the second period for the Blackhawks other goal.

The Blues tied the game with 2:11 to go in the third period on a blast by Alex Pietrangelo.

The league's leading scorer, the Blackhawks' Artem Anisimov, had to leave the game because of an undisclosed injury in the second period. Anisimov had eight goals and nine assists during a career-high 11-game point streak, which ended on Wednesday night.

Senators 2, Sabres 1 (SO)

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Bobby Ryan and Kyle Turris scored in the shootout to lead Ottawa over Buffalo.

Nicholas Baptiste scored in regulation for the Sabres while Robin Lehner made 28 saves.

Ryan Dzingel scored in regulation for the Senators and Mike Condon made 31 saves.

Blue Jackets 3, Ducks 2 (OT)

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Rookie Zach Werenski scored 1:21 into overtime, the first game-winning goal of his career, and Columbus beat Anaheim at Nationwide Arena.

Brandon Saad had a goal and an assist, and Boone Jenner also scored for Columbus. Blue Jackets goalie Sergei Bobrovsky made 30 saves.

Rikard Rakell and Nick Ritchie scored for the Ducks, who got 15 saves from John Gibson.
