One arrested following Tuesday
night incident in Lincoln

LINCOLN
- On Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at about 11:00 PM, Lincoln Police
Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Broadway St, Lincoln,
IL, in reference to a fight in progress.

Upon arrival, Lincoln Police officers found a 29 year old male
subject suffering from injuries consistent with being cut by a
knife. The victim was transported by ambulance to a Springfield
hospital and is currently in stable condition.
Lincoln Police processed the crime scene gathering physical evidence
with the assistance of the Illinois State Police Crime Scene Unit.
In addition, Lincoln Police conducted interviews on scene. As a
result, Jeremy Fulk (32) of Lincoln was arrested for Aggravated
Battery (Class 3 felony) at the scene. The victim and the suspect
were acquaintances.

This investigation is still in progress by the Lincoln Police Department. The
arrest charges are merely allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent
unless and until proven guilty. All reports will be forwarded to the Logan
County State’s Attorney for review.
