							Obituary 
							Christopher A. McCullen, 70, of Atlanta, passed away 
							at 9:25 a.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2016, at his 
							home.
 Cremation Rites have been accorded.
 
 Christopher Augustus McCullen was born March 15, 
							1946, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Clarence A. and 
							Violet F. Volpe McCullen. He married Francine E. 
							Lessaris on January 25, 1992. She survives.
 
 Christopher is also survived by two sons: Patrick 
							(Monica) McCullen and Christopher M. McCullen, both 
							of Lincoln; and one grandson: Michael McCullen.
 
 He was preceded in death by his parents, and one 
							brother: Mac McCullen.
 
 Having served our country in the United States Navy 
							during the Vietnam War era, Christopher was a member 
							of American Legion Lodge #263. After his service in 
							the Navy, Christopher began a 49-year career as a 
							long-distance driver; his final employment was with 
							Magnum transportation out of Fargo, North Dakota.

							Having earned numerous awards for driving excellence 
							and safety, Christopher mentored many drivers 
							throughout his career. An avid and concerned 
							environmentalist, Christopher appreciated the beauty 
							of nature, particularly wildlife, and was a strong 
							advocate for the protection of our planet, Earth.
 Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Logan 
							County or American Heart Association.
 
 Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley 
							Funeral Home of Atlanta.
