Reenactments to be part of LCG&HS annual dinner program

[November 14, 2016]   LINCOLN - Three presenters from the 2016 Cemetery Walk sponsored by the Logan County Genealogical and Historical Society will reenact their portrayals for the 6 p.m. Nov. 21 annual dinner meeting of the Society at Zion Lutheran Church, 205 Pulaski Street, Lincoln.

Reenactments will be presented by Tom McLaughlin as John Schwenoha, alias Coonhound Johnny; Tom Peifer as Nicholas Peifer, and Barry King as John Thomas Musick. President Diane Osborn will also present narratives from the Cemetery Walk including the history of Holy Cross and Calvary Cemeteries.

The public is invited to attend this event. Dinner reservations of $14 are due Nov. 16. Those not attending the dinner are welcome to arrive at 7 p.m. to hear the reenactments.

The catered dinner includes marinated chicken breast, marinated pork chop, cheesy potatoes, green beans, rolls with butter, apple cake, brownies, Angel Food cake with topping, coffee, tea, and water.

Reservations (with payment) may be made at the Genealogical Society, 114 N. Chicago Street, Lincoln on Tuesday November 15th from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
