LINCOLN
- Logan County Clerk Sally Turner, is advising potential candidates
to be aware of where they should be going to file their candidate
petitions. In most cases, the place to file will NOT be the office
of the County Clerk.

This Monday will begin the filing period for the city of Lincoln
primary. There are six aldermanic positions to be voted upon in 2017
as well as the offices of Mayor, City Clerk, and City Treasurer.
“All filings and disbursement of election information regarding the
City of Lincoln Primary MUST be done at and through the Lincoln City
Clerk.
“The County Clerk’s Office does not receive or advise on their
election. The City of Lincoln is the Election Official for this
election.
“The April 4 Consolidated Election is beginning as well. All
interested candidates for these municipal, township, park, and
library positions must go to the office of the TAXING DISTRICT of
which they are running, not the office of the county clerk. Those
clerks certify the names to our office and we run the election for
them as well. The filing for those offices at their respective clerk
office will be from December 12 through December 19.

or look on line at the county clerk website for a complete packet and
