On Tuesday evening, shoppers headed for the market, the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital Holiday Market. The first time event was held at Lincoln Christian University in the Laughlin Center from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

The evening was well attended with a steady flow of people there to pick up foods, decorations and gifts for the holidays.

Plenty of fresh vegetables and meats were available from vendors. There were handmade items for gift giving. Kids were attracted to knitted winter apparel that featured popular cartoon characters. There were BBQ spice packages, coffees, baked goods, fragrances, soaps, lotions, essential oils, dried flower arrangements, teas and much more.

Supper for eating there or take home was cooked on the spot by Bean Sprouts. Samples of appetizers by Huelskoetters Pork tempted the palate.

And on the other side of the room divider, classes were offered in Zumba, PiYo (pilates/yoga) and yoga to encourage incorporating fitness into the holidays and beyond.

Everyone present appeared to be enjoying the night out shopping before the holidays with an emphasis of staying healthy.
