[November 22, 2016]   LINCOLN - For over the past year, the Logan County Department of Public Health (LCDPH) has reduced hours of operation in response to the State of Illinois budget impasse, and until now, the department has been closed on Fridays.

Beginning Friday, December 2, 2016, the Logan Department of Public Health will be expanding its hours of operation by opening doors on Fridays to serve the public from 7:30 until noon. “Although we are still not at full operation capacity and are coping with a temporary state budget, the department is poised to make every effort to be most accessible to the public. Fortunately, at this time, our financial position will enable our agency to expand hours of operation until noon on Fridays, which is a step in the right direction,” says Don Cavi, Public Health Administrator.

The LCDPH thanks the community for its support and strives to continue to provide quality services as Logan County’s public health home. To learn more about the services offered at LCDPH, log onto their website at WWW.LCDPH.ORG or contact them at 217-735-2317.
