[November 29, 2016]    Nov. 28 (The Sports Xchange) - The Golden State Warriors recalled rookie center Damian Jones from Santa Cruz of the NBA Development League on Monday.

 

The 7-foot, 245-pound Jones, who was selected 30th overall by the Warriors in the 2016 NBA Draft, underwent surgery on June 14 to repair a torn right pectoral muscle and has not appeared in a game with Golden State this season. He was injured weight-lifting just 12 days before the draft.

The 21-year-old Jones, who was assigned to Santa Cruz on Nov. 21, averaged 3.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 1.5 assists in 18.5 minutes over two games with Golden State's D-League affiliate.

The Indiana Pacers recalled forward Rakeem Christmas from the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA Development League.

The 6-foot-9, 239-pound Christmas, 24, appeared in two games with the Pacers this season, averaging 1.5 points and 1.5 rebounds in 6.0 minutes per contest.

The Orlando Magic assigned 7-foot rookie center Stephen Zimmerman to the Erie BayHawks of the NBA Development League.

Zimmerman, 20, appeared in two games this season with the Magic, averaging 1.0 points and 2.0 rebounds in 5.6 minutes per contest. He was originally selected in the second round (41st overall) of the 2016 NBA Draft by Orlando. (Editing by Steve Keating.)
