			 Punch and cookies will be served while guests browse a selection 
			of Christmas gift items ranging from books to an Abraham Lincoln 
			bust, Abe placemats, Christmas ornaments and memberships or Pioneer 
			Certificates. 
 Books include Bill Donath's Generosity and Gary Duane Blessman's The 
			Logan Regiment...the 106th Illinois Regiment.
 
 Gold ornaments include the Logan County Courthouses, Lincoln City 
			Hall, Lincoln Public Library, Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, the 
			Earl Hargrove Chapel and Lincoln Christian College and Seminary; 
			Lincoln College University Hall, The Arcade Building, Lincoln 
			Rallies the People, and the 175th anniversary of Logan County. A 
			silver ornament of the Knapp/Chestnut/Becker Library in Middletown 
			is also available. Each boxed ornament comes with its own story.
 
			
			 In addition Lincoln Centennial celebration wooden nickels and 
			collectible coins will be available.
 The following collectible plates are also offered: Logan County 
			Fair, Sheer's Auto Supply, Villages of Emden, Mt. Pulaski, and 
			Elkhart, and Zion Lutheran Church, St. Peter Lutheran Church, First 
			United Methodist Church, Lincoln; and the Mt. Pulaski Methodist 
			Church.

			Society memberships at a cost of $15 individual or $20 for two 
			persons residing at the same address will be available along with 
			Pioneer Certificates. Family history must be completed prior to 
			receipt of a Pioneer Certificate. Researchers are available to 
			assist with this.
 CD's of the 1886 Logan County History and the 1860 and 1840-1880 
			Censuses are also available.
 
 In addition to the open house the LCGHS Center is open Tuesday, 
			Thursday, and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on the second and 
			fourth Saturday's each month. However, it will not be open 
			Thanksgiving Day, but will be open Friday after 1 p.m.
 
 Donations of family history and other historic items pertaining to 
			Lincoln and Logan County are always welcomed. Proceeds from the open 
			house help support the Society's endeavors to preserve and promote 
			local history.
