[October 03, 2016]  Oct 2 (The Sports Xchange) - Highlights of Sunday's National Football League games:

Bills 16, Patriots 0

Buffalo started a fight before the game and then finished it, outplaying New England in cruising to a historic 16-0 victory on Sunday.

The Bills (2-2) won their second straight since switching offensive coordinators and scored the franchise's first road shutout since Nov. 4, 1990. Buffalo handed the Patriots, 3-1 during Tom Brady's four-game Deflategate suspension, their first shutout loss in the 15-year history of Gillette Stadium.

The Patriots' previous home shutout loss was in 1993 and the last time the team went scoreless was in 2006.

The Bills limited the Patriots, who started rookie quarterback Jacoby Brissett for the second game in a row, to 13 first downs and 1-of-12 on third-down conversions.

Seahawks 27, Jets 17

Russell Wilson showed no signs of his leg injuries when the Seattle quarterback carved up the New York Jets for 309 yards and three touchdowns in a 27-17.

The Seahawks (3-1) have scored a total of 64 points in their last two wins after scoring just 15 points in the first two games of the season.

The Jets (1-3) are headed in the other direction with two straight losses.

Wilson, who suffered a high ankle sprain in the season opener and a left knee sprain last Sunday, went 23-of-32 passing, including 10-of-11 in the first half.

Falcons 48, Panthers 33

Matt Ryan and Julio Jones set team records as Atlanta beat Carolina 48-33 on a day when the Panthers lost quarterback Cam Newton to a possible concussion.

Ryan, the NFC offensive player for September, completed 28 of 37 passes for a record 503 yards and four touchdowns for the Falcons (3-1), while Jones hauled in 12 passes for a record 300 yards and a 75-yard TD.

Reigning NFL MVP Newton was evaluated for a concussion after he was hit by Falcons rookie linebacker Deion Jones.

Raiders 28, Ravens 27

Derek Carr threw for four touchdowns, including a go-ahead 23-yard pass to Michael Crabtree with just under two minutes remaining, and Oakland handed Baltimore a first loss of the season with a 28-27 decision.

The Raiders (3-1) have already won three games on the road. The offense for Baltimore (3-1) struggled against the NFL's worst defense, going just 3-of-12 on third down.

Jaguars 30, Colts 27

Blake Bortles threw two touchdown passes and rushed for another, leading Jacksonville to a 30-27 win over Indianapolis at Wembley Stadium in London.

It was the Jaguars' first win of the season and their second straight over Indianapolis. Jacksonville (1-3) led 23-6 heading into the fourth quarter but struggled to put away Andrew Luck and the Colts (1-3).

Redskins 31, Browns 20

Kirk Cousins threw three touchdown passes, Jordan Reed had nine catches for 73 yards and two touchdowns and Washington defeated Cleveland 31-20.

Matt Jones rushed for 117 yards and a score as Washington (2-2) picked up its first home win after two losses.

The winless Browns (0-4) turned the ball over on three consecutive possessions in the second half.

Texans 27, Titans 20

Rookie Will Fuller returned a punt 67 yards for a touchdown and Houston beat Tennessee 27-20.

Fuller became the first player in franchise history to record a receiving and punt return touchdown in the same game, salvaging the Texans (3-1) from an uneven performance.

Saints 35, Chargers 34

The New Orleans Saints stormed back from a 13-point, fourth-quarter deficit to shock the San Diego Chargers 35-34.

The Chargers (1-3) lost two fumbles in the last seven minutes as they squandered another late lead.

Rams 17, Cardinals 13

The Los Angeles Rams forced five turnovers, knocked Carson Palmer out of the game with a head injury, and hung on to beat the Arizona Cardinals 17-13.

Case Keenum connected with Brian Quick on a 4-yard touchdown pass with 2:36 left to play to put the Rams back in front and ultimately seal the victory.

The win improved the Rams to 3-1 for the first time since 2006.

The loss drops the Cardinals to a surprising 1-3.

A bad day got worse for Arizona when quarterback Palmer received a hard hit late in the game.

Palmer was evaluated for a concussion and was replaced by backup Drew Stanton.

Broncos 27, Buccaneers 7

The Denver Broncos converted two Aqib Talib interceptions into touchdowns but lost quarterback Trevor Siemian to a left shoulder injury in an easy 27-7 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Antonio Brown caught two touchdown passes, giving him an NFL-leading 35 TD catches since the start of the 2013 season, and Le'Veon Bell ran for 144 yards and added 34 receiving yards in his first game in more than a year.
