The 8th grade team was led by Mya Kirgan and Ashley Nguyen
with 6 points a piece. Ayiana Benedict scored 5 points, followed
by Savannah Welch with 4 points, Kathryn Slack with 2 points and
Reese McCaun with 1 point.
Crusaders Win in Double Overtime at Home
The 8th grade team beat Heyworth Tuesday night, 21-20 in double
overtime. Ayiana Benedict and Savannah Welch led the Crusaders
with 7 points each, followed by Mya Kirgan and Kathryn Slack
with 3 points each, and Reese McCaun with 1 point.
The 7th grade team team lost 11-30. Candace Watson led the team
with 6 points, followed by Savannah Welch with 3 points, and
Kathryn Slack with 2 points.
The 7th grade team is 0-2 and the 8th grade team is 4-2.
The Crusaders next game is Thursday October 6th at Zion Lutheran
against West Lincoln Broadwell at 6 p.m.
