[October 06, 2016]  ILLIOPOLIS - Shari Lynn West, 51, of Illiopolis, passed away at 7:56 a.m. Monday October 03, 2016 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Visitation: 4:00-7:00pm Thursday October 6, 2016 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski

Service: 10:00 a.m. on Friday October 7, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church in Springfield

Funeral home: Fricke-Calvert-Schrader, Lincoln    Mount Pulaski

Obituary

Shari Lynn West, 51, of Illiopolis, passed away at 7:56 a.m. Monday October 03, 2016 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Shari was born on July 18, 1965 in Charleston, the daughter of Lloyd and Deloris J. (Durbin) Eggers. She married Randy West on June 4, 1988 in Mount Pulaski. He survives her.

Shari is also survived by her son, Austin West of Illiopolis, father, Lloyd (Pat) Eggers of Springfield, and her sister, Terres (Rodney) VanBibber of Milwaukee, WI. She was preceded in death by her mother.

Shari was an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Illinois. She was a member of the the First United Methodist Church of Springfield and the Illinois Bar Association.

She enjoyed shopping, camping and boating, but was happiest when spending time with her son, sister, nieces, nephews, and friends.

 

Services for Shari will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday October 7, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church in Springfield with Roger Ross officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00pm Thursday October 6, 2016 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski. Burial will follow the services at Riverside Cemetery, Illiopolis.

Memorial donations may be made in Shari’s name to the Sangamon Valley Scholarship Fund.
