[October 14, 2016]  LINCOLN -  Joyce J. Jarrell, 86, of Hartsburg, passed away September 29, 2016, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation: Noon until 1 p.m. Monday, October 3, 2016, at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home

Service:  1 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home

Obituary

Joyce J. Jarrell, 86, of Hartsburg, passed away September 29, 2016, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation will be from Noon until 1 p.m. Monday, October 3, 2016, at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, also at the funeral home with Pastor Joe Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery, Lincoln.

Joyce was born August 19, 1930, in Logan County, the daughter of James R. and Mildred I. (Ridgeway) Birkes. She married Ralph Allen Jarrell on December 30, 1950. He preceded her in death on February 17, 2000.

She was a member of Prairieland Christian Church in Hartsburg. Joyce was employed at Stetson's for ten years and retired from Lehn and Fink in 1998 after 25 years of service. She was also a former bus monitor in Hartsburg.

Surviving are her children: Vickie Joann (Marvin) Hilton of Hartsburg, Marcella Louise (Doug) Davis of Richmond, KY., Ricky Allen Jarrell of Hartsburg, and Shiela Mae Farmer of Lincoln; 7 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one brother.

Memorial donations may be made to Prairieland Christian Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
