June A. Harnacke named next President of The First National Bank in Tremont

[October 26, 2016]   TREMONT - The Board of Directors of The First National Bank in Tremont is pleased to announce June A. Harnacke has been named to succeed James R. Shafer as President of the Bank, effective January 1, 2017. Mr. Shafer will remain at the Bank as CEO until his retirement December 31, 2017.

Harnacke started at New Holland Farmers Bank in 1979, and remained through two mergers, leaving as Community Bank President of Union Planters Bank in 1999. She then worked for North American Association of Central Cancer Registries, Inc., where she served as Director of Administration until 2004, when she returned to the banking profession, as Vice President of The First National Bank in Tremont at their New Holland Banking Center.

Ms. Harnacke is a graduate of Lincoln Christian University, where she obtained her degree in Leadership and Management. She is also a graduate of the Illinois Bankers School at SIU Carbondale. She is treasurer of the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation Board and a member of the Lincoln Community High School Foundation.
