[October 27, 2016]   LINCOLN - There will be several Halloween events this year that include great Trick-or-Treat opportunities.

ALMH Market fall festival and Zombie Run
Saturday, October 29th
8 a.m. to Noon

Fun activities for kids and adults all morning long.  Market tokekns for all children who come to the market in costume, trick or treat activities and at 9:30 a.m. a family friendly Zombie Run event.

Trick or Treat with Abe
Lincoln Heritage Museum
Saturday, October 29th
1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

This family friendly event allows visitor to trick or treat with Abraham Lincoln and walk through history and meet Lincoln’s friends. Children may attend in their Halloween costumes. Admission is free with a donation of a canned food item. All donations go to the Lincoln Food Pantry.

Trunk or Treat at St. John United Church of Christ
Sunday, October 30th
3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

On Sunday, October 30th St. John United Church of Christ is holding a safe “TRUNK ‘R’ TREAT” from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. on their parking lot on the corners of 8th Street and Maple. Cars and participant s will be in costume – We welcome the children to show off their costumes and show up for treats.

For safety sake, cars bringing children are encouraged to enter the east end of the parking lot through the alley between the church and the parking lot.

Lincoln citizens who wish to receive Trick-or-Treaters should have their porch lights turned on.

Light up the night with Jesus
Monday, October 31st
5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Brightly lit, carved pumpkins will light your way to "LIGHT UP THE NIGHT WITH JESUS", which will again be sponsored by Zion Lutheran Church on MONDAY, OCTOBER 31, from 5:00-8:00 p.m., during Lincoln's "Treat or Treat" hours, at the log cabin chapel on the corner of 5th and Logan Streets. Stop and warm up and meet members of Zion as they distribute "Glow in the Dark" crosses and candy to the children and a cups of hot chocolate to everyone. All are welcome! Fun for all ages.

Trunk-or-Treat at Open Arms Fellowship
Monday, October 31st
5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Trunk-or-Treat will be held in the parking lot at the Open Arms Christian Church, 813 Woodlawn Road, Lincoln.

There will be lots of candy and inside the church hot chocolate and cookies will be served.
