LJHS edges out Springfield Lincoln Magnet

[September 02, 2016]  Lincoln Junior High School Baseball hosted Springfield Lincoln Magnet on Friday.

 

Kyle Fry started on the mound for the LJHS Trojans.

Springfield took an early lead scoring their only two runs in the first. The Trojans scored 1 in the fourth inning on a RBI single by Alex Hoffert.

The score remained 2-1 going into the bottom of the 7th. The Trojans started the 7th with a walk by Keagan Ferguson. He eventually stole second and scored on a wild throw from the catcher while stealing third.

Alex Hoffert walked, Karson Bonaparte singled, and then Logan McDonald moved the runners over with a bunt. Landon Hullinger was intentionally walked to load the bases with one out. Devyn Snow batted next and ended up drawing a walk on a full-count pitch with one out to win the game for the Trojans by a score of 3-2.
