Habitat to break ground on 21st Logan County home
Entering a new era of partnership with the LCHS/LTEC Building Trades program

[September 15, 2016]  LINCOLN - Habitat For Humanity of Logan County (HFHLC) will have a Groundbreaking program for home #21 at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, September 18 at the site 716 South Kickapoo in Lincoln. The property was donated by Tom and Janice Rock and the future homeowner will be Tiffany Parrish and her family.

Participants in the program will be Mayor Marty Neitzel, Ward 3 Aldermen Todd Mourning and Joni Tibbs, and Cathy Wilhite president of the Lincoln Chamber. Tiffany’s father Meridith and grandfather, Bob Parrish, her mentors and Pastor Kirk Hennebury, director of the Harvest Christian Center in Decatur will also participate.

The program will be led by Cince Bowns, president of the HFHLC affiliate assisted by “Spud” Newhouse and Justin Dietrich the build co-leaders. This will be a community project as it is the first home that Habitat has partnered with the Building and Trades classes at Lincoln Community High School.

The public is welcome to join in celebrating this new home for a family and new chapter in the life of HFH in Logan County. During the program the public will be invited to step forward and turn over a spade of dirt!
