[September 21, 2016]  MIDDLETOWN - Harold Sterling Stout Jr., 63, of Middletown, passed away at 3:10 p.m. Thursday September 1, 2016 at the Christian Village in Lincoln.

Graveside Service:  2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Irish Grove Cemetery

Harold Sterling Stout Jr., 63, of Middletown, passed away at 3:10 p.m. Thursday September 1, 2016 at the Christian Village in Lincoln.

Harold was born on October 30, 1952 in Pekin, IL to Harold Sterling and Margaret Johnson Stout Sr.  He married Jennifer Skelton on September 20, 1985 in Lincoln.  She survives him.

Also surviving is his mother: Margaret Stout, seven children; Jodi (Eric) Slater of Phoenix, AZ, Travis (Rebecca ) Stout Bloomington, Michelle (Mario) Bonaparte of Lincoln, Lisa (Dale) Nelson of Lincoln, Jeffrey J. Renfro of Middletown, Cindy (Kurt) Wendlandt of New Holland, and Terri (Mike) Virgil of Middletown, siblings; Betty (Angie) Stout of Atlanta, Judy ( Greg Harris) Nichols of Bloomington, Shannon (Ric) Cheek  of Atlanta, Rita (Steve) Billings of Emden, Rick Stout of Atlanta, and Dusty (Wendy) Stieling of Normal; 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; eleven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. 

Harold was a supervisor at the bottle factory in Lincoln, and served his country in the United States Army.   He was a member of the Middletown American Legion Post #672.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday September 7, 2016 at Irish Grove Cemetery with Casey Lore officiating. Following the graveside service, full military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post# 672.

Memorials may be made to Logan County paramedic Association or Middletown Rescue.
