Obituary
Dorothy Rae Ott, 82, of Lincoln, passed away
September 23, 2016, at her residence.
Cremation rites were accorded by Holland Barry &
Bennett Funeral Home. There will be no services at
this time.
Dorothy was born April 1, 1934, in Chicago, the
daughter of Earl and Gertrude (Dorsett) Pinney. She
married Joe Ott on October 31, 1952. He preceded her
in death on April 21, 2003.
Dorothy was employed at the Logan County Clerk's
office for more than 20 years. Prior to that, she
was a homemaker and farm wife. She was an active
volunteer at The Christian Village and the Oasis
Senior Center, where she was also a member. She
enjoyed Bingo, Bunco, and gambling. She was always
on the go, staying active volunteering, traveling,
and having fun with family and friends.

Surviving are her children: William "Bill" Ott of Middletown and Marsha Rae
(Boone) O'Donoghue of Lincoln; grandchildren: Jamie, Angela, Steven and Chance,
Kelsey Rae O'Donoghue and Stacy Leonard; brother James (Joyce) Pinney of
Lincoln; and faithful feline companion Ebby.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 50 years, Joe Ott,
brother William Pinney, and sister Virginia Steffen.
Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Logan County.
