Illinois Solar Energy Association Tour to stop at New Holland-Middletown School

[September 28, 2016]  MIDDLETOWN - Explore solar in Logan County, Illinois! The Illinois Solar Energy Association is excited to host the 10th annual Illinois Solar Tour.

As a part of the National Solar Tour, over 100 solar-savvy home and business owners throughout the state will open their doors to show off their solar! This FREE open house type event allows attendees to view real-life examples of how their neighbors are harnessing the sun’s energy to generate power, heat, and slash monthly utility bills.

This self-guided tour has attracted more than a thousand people across Illinois in recent years. The tour affords participants a direct perspective on the costs, processes, as well as the economic and environmental benefits of going solar.

You have the opportunity to visit a solar installation in your neighborhood! The village of Middletown will be a part of the Illinois Solar Tour, showcasing solar installations at the school, located at 75 1250th Street.

The Illinois Solar Tour host sites will be open on Saturday October 1st from 10am to 3pm, and it is FREE and open to the public. Visit the Tour’s website to find other sites to explore near you www.illinoissolartour.org.
