[April 03, 2017]    Rain put a damper on the second week of baseball and softball throughout Logan County. The only area team that saw action on the diamond was the Lincoln Railsplitters Baseball Team.

Austin Newton of the Lincoln Railsplitters takes a swing versus Springfield Lanphier during Tuesday's game. The Railsplitters won 9-1 over the Lions.

The Railsplitters defeated Lanphier at home last Tuesday by a score of 9-1 and then fell to Peoria Richwoods 5-1 on Saturday.

Lincoln is now 2-4 on the season with a busy week ahead.

Upcoming baseball games this week for Lincoln:

Tuesday at Southeast 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday home versus Southeast 4:30 p.m.
Thursday at Lanphier 4:30 p.m.
