First Quarter Home Sales

[April 07, 2017]  LINCOLN - The first quarter of 2017 saw improved mixed home sales numbers compared to 2016 for the same time period. The number of homes sold were down, but the average and median prices for the homes sold were up. Houses also tended to be on the market a shorter period of time.

 

REALTORS in Logan County Board of REALTORS® sold 83 homes in the first quarter of 2017, 11 fewer than the 94 sold during the same time period in 2016.

The average selling price for homes in the 2017 time period was $92,350, up from $91,250 in 2016. Median prices were up, $88,000 compared to $83,700.

The length of time that the average home was on the market found houses on the market for a shorter time with the average "Days on Market" in 2017 150 days. This was 34 days quicker than the same time period in 2016.
