Romain Alessandrini and Jermaine Jones scored to give the LA Galaxy a 2-0 victory over the Montreal Impact on Friday night at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif.

Clement Diop made two saves in his first Major League Soccer shutout for the Galaxy (2-3-0).

Alessandrini, a transfer from France's Olympique Marseille, scored his third goal in two games in the 15th minute. Emmanuel Boateng eluded defender Chris Duvall on the left flank, dribbled into the penalty area and passed to Alessandrini, who converted a 23-yard shot with his left foot inside the near post.

The Impact (0-2-3) had their best chance to score in the 27th minute when Hassoun Camara took a 30-yard free kick from the left flank. But Diop made a leaping, two-handed deflection to keep Montreal scoreless.

Jones extended the lead in the 74th minute with his first goal. After receiving Gyasi Zardes' pass near the center circle, Jones ran the length of the field, eluding Laurent Ciman's tackle in the process, before unleashing a 13-yard shot that deflected off defender Kyle Fisher and inside the right post.

Montreal had to play with 10 men when Marco Donadel received a red card in the 44th minute for fouling Jones. Donadel will be suspended for the Impact's next match April 15 against Atlanta United.

Camara left the game in the 35th minute after colliding with Zardes five minutes earlier. Camara was holding the sides and back of his head while receiving treatment on the sideline. No update on Camara's condition was immediately available.
