U.S. mortgage activity rises in latest week: MBA

[April 12, 2017]  NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. mortgage application activity rose for the first time in four weeks as borrowing costs on 30-year home loans fell in tandem with bond yields, Mortgage Bankers Association data released on Wednesday showed.

 

The Washington-based industry group said its measure on mortgage applications rose 1.5 percent to 402.9 in the week ended April 7.
