Mount Pulaski traveled to Manito last Thursday night and was shut out in a Tomahawk Conference matchup with Midwest Central 10-0.

Midwest Central jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning and the Raiders just kept the runs coming. They scored in each of the first four innings and finally added the tenth run in the sixth inning to come away with the 10-0 victory.

The Hilltoppers managed just three hits. Logan DeRight, Joey Davis and Jonathan Shehorn each had singles for Mount Pulaski. Freshman Todd Kelly (0-3) took the loss on the mound. Kelly allowed four hits while giving up nine runs, of which only one was earned. The Hilltoppers defense committed five errors in the game.

Mount Pulaski’s record falls to 2-8 on the season.
