[April 23, 2017]    This past Monday (April 17th), the Men’s Golf team traveled to Oak Brook Golf Course in Oak Brook to participate in the 11 team Elmhurst College Spring Invite. This was the team's second event of the spring season.

The weather on the day was as perfect as you could ask for. 80 degrees and low winds made for a good day for the Lynx.

Sophomore Hunter Bettis finished the day with a team low 73. He had 5 birdies on the day, but had a few holes and shots get away from him.
Hunter Leach finished the day with a 76. Leach had the shot of the day on the Par 5 16th hole. After a solid drive off the tee left him 235 yards from the pin, the sophomore from Illini Bluffs hit a three-iron to the green landing the ball about 13 feet from the pin. He missed the eagle putt, but hit a tap in birdie.

Cody Curry finished the day with 82 and Josh Matthews came in with an 85 on the day. Nik Jackson from Lanphier, IL rounded out the day for the Lynx with an 89.

Lincoln finished 6th overall in the event out of 11 teams. Hunter Bettis was the team's highest individual finisher at 7th place overall. Hunter Leach tied for 12th place while Cody Curry finished tied for 36th.

"Today was a much better day for the boys. They have been putting in the work at the course and it's starting to show off. They have been focused at practice and are wanting to get better. They all started out the round really well this time around which was something we struggled with last time. We are getting closer to where we want to be. Just have to put two solid nines together and we will be there." -Coach Adcock
