Tuesday was the floriculture competition for cut flowers, arrangements for artistic effects, rose, hybrids, and small potted plants. The arrangements were a blast from the past representing the fabulous fifties with unique arrangements such as one using a car part in the design and one using fresh flowers and fabric in the design to represent a poodle skirt. Route 66 arrangements had to contain fresh or dried roadside material found in the Logan County area.

Winners included:


Sare Laun - Illinois Challenge Class. Sponsored by Frickes and presented by Steve Elkins. 		 

 

  

 

Ann Knuffman - Grand Champion Cut Flower. Sponsored by Connie's Greenhouse and Johnson's True Value in Mt. Pulaski and presented by Cindy Gleason. 		 


Dena Bergman - Grand Champion potted plant. Sponsored by Joan and Andy Dahmm and presented by Joan Dahmm.

 


Cindy Gleason - Grand Champion of entire show. Sponsored by Perfect Pair Antiques and Salon.

 


Sara Laun - Reserve champion of entire show. Presented by Verdeen Ingram and sponsored by Darlene Begolka.

 


Shawnda Walker - Reserve and Grand Champion Rose sponsored by Peasley Funeral Homes in Atlanta and Lincoln (winner was not present).
