[August 07, 2017]  On Saturday, August 5th, just after the chili cook-off winners are announced in the KC Pavilion, the annual Pie Auction is held before the same crowd. The pies are made by the best bakers in Logan County and the auction helps to raise money that keeps "the best and cleanest county fair in Illinois" going. All funds go to the Logan County Fair Foundation.

This year, the pies auctioned-off raised $2,340.

First up for bid was Sarah Laun's peach blueberry pie. It was purchased by Gary Laun and raised $200.

Carlene Carter's streusel pie was purchased by Kevin and Nancy Courtwright and raised $130.

Carter also baked a peach pie purchased by Mike Maske Auction Service that raised $175 and a cherry pie purchased by Marvin Bartman that raised $200.

Brandy Dahmm's blueberry plum, almond crumb pie was purchased by Janet Dahmm and raised $220. Dahmm's apple pie was purchased by Lyle Read and raised $135.
