LINCOLN
- At the end of the Monday night voting session of the Lincoln City
Council, City Administrator Clay Johnson announced that he submitted
his resignation to the city on July 28th. Johnson will continue on
with the city until the end of August as per his contract.
Johnson said that he had been offered another opportunity that was
in the best interest of his family and himself professionally. He
noted that it was a difficult decision to make.
Johnson said, “I want to thank all the elected officials I have
served under, all the councils, all the mayors, which would be four
in two-and-a-half years. This is not my last meeting by any means.
My official last day will be August 28th per the contract. We’re
going to keep going, we’re not going to stop. In this next few weeks
we’re going to keep pressing because there’s a lot of things to be
done in that time. Again, I thank you, and there will probably be
more words coming on August 21st.”
