[August 09, 2017]  LINCOLN - If you’ve been past what is commonly known as the ‘Wash House’ on Fifth Street, and noted that the building is empty, fear not, the former occupant – Camel’s Hair-em is alive and well and doing business in a new location in Lincoln.

The full service salon can now be found at 1555 Fifth Street at the intersection of Fifth Street and Lincoln Parkway.

The salon moved a few weeks ago, taking up the space that was previously occupied by the Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce. Some may recall that before that address became the chamber offices, it was home to another salon. Therefore, the layout of the building is perfect for a full service business that is offered by Jackie Camel, owner of Camels Hair-em.

In addition, the new location offers more parking and more convenient access to the building, big plusses for a busy salon.

Jackie has been doing hair for about 30 years, and works beside her long-time friend Linda Fisher to offer a full line of services from cuts, colors, and perms to very specific services such as facial waxing and eyebrow shaping. The salon offers hair services to adults and children, and do hair for both male and female clients.

The salon also accommodates those who have difficulty getting to the hair dresser during the day by offering daily hours Tuesday through Friday to 7 p.m.

Jackie and Linda enjoy spending time at the salon with long time customers who have become dear friends, and also look forward to meeting new customers in their new home. If you haven’t tried a Hair-em haircut, maybe you should give them a shot the next time you’re ready for a new do!

Regular hours for the salon are Tuesday through Friday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday hours are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The business is closed on Sunday and Monday.

For appointments call 217-735-5005.
