Memorial Medical Center to host
free introductory seminar on fitness for adults over 40

SPRINGFIELD
– Memorial Medical Center will host a free introductory session for
athletes and active adults over 40 years old at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug.
22, at Memorial SportsCare.
The 90-minute program will feature Dr. Nicole Florence and Dr. David
Sandercock, both internal medicine physicians and pediatricians with
Memorial Physician Services-Koke Mill, and Dr. Rodney Herrin,
SportsCare’s co-medical director and an orthopedic surgeon with the
Orthopedic Center of Illinois in Springfield.
The free session introduces the 10-week Over-40 Fitness program
offered by Memorial SportsCare.

The physicians will discuss the unique challenges and health
considerations to help adults over 40 get back into shape without injury as well
as how physical and nutritional needs change with age.
Memorial SportsCare is at 4550 W. Iles Ave., inside the Gus and Flora Kerasotes
YMCA.
