Boys Baseball: Mount Pulaski defeats Illini Central 15-7 in baseball action

[August 17, 2017]    The Mount Pulaski Bruins baseball team picked up their first win of the season Wednesday with a 15-7 victory over Illini Central.

 

The Bruins pounded out 11 hits. Lucas Kuhlman went 3-for-5 with 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Gavin Smith was 2-for-4 at the plate with 3 RBIs and 3 runs
scored. Evan Cooper was 2-for-4 with 2 runs scored. Jackson Fricke, Andrew
Bailey, Nolan Deibert and Landon Smith also recorded hits for the Bruins.
Landon Smith's speed on the base paths led to 4 stolen bases and 2 runs
scored.

Kuhlman picked up the win for Mount Pulaski. He pitched 4.2 innings and
struck out 6 batters. Andrew Bailey earned the save in relief. He threw 2.1
innings and struck out 3 batters.

Mount Pulaski hosts Decatur Lutheran today at Frazier Park. Game time is
4:15 p.m.
