[August 19, 2017]  LINCOLN - Gregory L. Merrieghn, 66, of Lincoln, passed away at his home on Friday, August 4, 2017.

Visitation:  From 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Service:  2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home

Obituary

Gregory L. Merrieghn, 66, of Lincoln, passed away at his home on Friday, August 4, 2017.

Visitation for Mr. Merrieghn will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Funeral services for will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home following the visitation. Mr. Ron Otto will officiate.

Burial will be a later date.

Gregory Lyn Merrieghn was born December 9, 1950, in Lincoln, the son of Francis E. and Clara Kathleen Smith Merrieghn.

Greg is survived by his father, Francis; three sons: Gregory L. Merrieghn, Jr., Jeremy S. Merrieghn, and Kyle L. Merrieghn; one sister: Patricia D. (Leroy) Cobb; three brothers: Jack (Roberta) Merrieghn, Francis E. (Kathi) Merrieghn, Jr., and Daniel Merrieghn; and five grandchildren.

 

Funeral Director

He was preceded in death by his mother, two brothers, and one sister.

Greg was a graduate of Lincoln Community High School and worked at LDC as a Mental Health Technician. He was of the Christian faith. His hobbies included western and science fiction movies, camping, and fishing.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley Funeral Home of Lincoln.
