Lincoln Balloon Festival goers find their 'happy place'

[August 28, 2017]  It seemed that everyone at the Balloon Festival on Saturday evening had a smile! So many of those were waiting in lines: lines for the tethered balloon rides, lines for food, lines for the climbing wall, lines for the petting zoo, lines, lines, lines. Even so, everyone seemed to be patient and kind and smiling!

The spacious airport, organization and layout, allowed a full view of the balloons that are so mesmerizing. Whether you were in a line or walking about there was a sense of calm positive energy. So maybe that's why everyone was so happy.

A mom and her young daughter came from Springfield after seeing the balloons from the highway last year. A young family from Streator thought the balloons were absolutely amazing and were fascinated that the balloon festival happened every year. They promised to come back again!

From the very young to the not-so-old, everyone was having a good time and most of them were smiling!
