[August 28, 2017]  SPRINGFIELD -  Robert E. O. Otto, 70, of Springfield, died at 9:56 pm, Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Heritage Health.

Visitation:  9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Graveside Service: 12 pm, Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Camp Butler National Cemetery, where Sangamon County Inter Veterans will conduct Military Honors.

Obituary

Robert E. O. Otto, 70, of Springfield, died at 9:56 pm, Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Heritage Health. He was born August 7, 1947 in Petersburg, to Robert E. and Lola Hannibal Otto.

Survivors include three daughters, Lea Evans of Lincoln, Tina Dooley of Lincoln and Andria (Bryan Boring) Otto of Mason City; one son, Daniel “Danny” (Marcey) Otto of Kincaid; mother, Lola Otto of Petersburg; one sister, Diane Hamlin of Lincoln; one brother Harry Otto of Petersburg and four grandchildren and longtime companion, Nancy Sudduth of Springfield.

He was preceded in death by his father and half brother, Harold Emery Clark.

Mr. Otto retired from Bunn O Matic where he worked in assembly. He was a Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed fishing.

Visitation: 9:30 – 11am, Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Graveside Service: 12 pm, Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Camp Butler National Cemetery, where Sangamon County Inter Veterans will conduct Military Honors.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Colon Cancer Foundation.
