The
wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round, round and
round as the people leave the town. The ladies at Salt Creek Attic
and Calm Creek Café in Mount Pulaski are sponsoring a Christmas bus
trip to the historic village of Kimmswick, Missouri on Saturday,
December 2. The bus will leave from the Mount Pulaski Courthouse
square promptly at 7:30 a.m. and return at 7:00 p.m.
The historic village of Kimmswick and surrounding area on the
Mississippi has a population of about 200 people. During many
festivals, crowds of thousands descend on the community for such
events as Witches' Night Out, Strawberry Festival, Apple Butter
Festival and Christmas Festival and Cookie Walk.
During the Christmas Festival the town will be beautifully
decorated. There are 33 little homes that have shops and seven
restaurants. Meals are not included in the price of the ticket but
snacks will be provided.

Each business will offer a small bag of homemade cookies that may be collected
when entering the shop, along with a cookbook, featuring recipes of all the
cookies being distributed.
